NATURAL GAS PRODUCTS

Fixed Price Product - For the customer that wants the most predictability and stability in their energy costs we recommend the fixed price product. This product locks in the commodity rate and the interstate pipeline transportation rate and is available for up to a three-year term.

Market Based Product - The market-based product locks in the transportation rate for the term of the contract but “floats” with the monthly settlement commodity rate on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex).  This settlement commodity rate is then added to the transportation rate to produce a monthly gas cost that varies with the market.  At any time during the term of the contract, the customer may have the option to convert into a fixed price product.  When natural gas commodity prices are high, and expected to go down in the future a market-based contract is advantageous .

ELECTRICITY PRODUCTS

Fixed Price Product - The fixed price product offers the greatest stability for customers concerned with defining their future budget. It locks in the generation rate and is available for terms of up to 5 years. This electric product is competitively priced when compared to the utility and provides for a stable and predictable price, for the term of the customer contract.

Market Indexed Product - The indexed priced product reflects wholesale market conditions. This provides the customer with an reliable cost correlation to the electric retail market.  The index itself will be fixed for the contract term. This will lend a degree of certainty to the product.  An indexed product is usually attractive to customers who are comfortable with the concept that price varies from month-to-month with the wholesale market.  A customer may have the option to switch to a fixed price supply contract at some time during their contract should the they that the market has moved to a price that the customer is comfortable with.
